Hygienists
A dental hygienist is the chief preventive provider of our practice. This team member motivates, educates & provides excellent treatment. Under indirect supervision, dental hygienists remove hard & soft deposits from teeth & examine oral, head & neck areas for signs of oral disease. They educate patients on oral hygiene, provide preventive dental care, take & develop x-rays, & apply fluoride or sealants. By discovering & documenting both periodontal & restorative areas of failure, he or she facilitates the dentist’s diagnosis & treatment recommendations.
Dental Assistants
A dental assistant provides clinical support to our dentists. This team member is responsible for sterilizing equipment, taking impressions & x-rays, updating patient records & providing general support during procedures. Dental assistants safeguard our patients’ health & safety by educating them on proper home care & maintaining clean operatories. They also ensure our patients’ comfort by warmly welcoming them into the chair & by answering any questions or concerns.
Receptionist/Front Desk Coordinator
Under direct and indirect supervision, answer inquiries and obtain information for general public, patients, visitors, and other interested parties. Provide information to callers. Perform routine clerical and administrative functions such as answering phone calls, drafting correspondence to patients and insurance providers, respond to explanations of benefits, scheduling and confirming appointments, organizing and maintaining paper and electronic files, presenting cases, track and balance, credit transactions, and other basic financial support functions.
Greeter
The Greeter is responsible for welcoming patients into the practice. This person must be able to work in a fast-paced, team setting and is responsible for seeing that procedures are followed.
